The Consideration of Myself - A Poem

Consideration of Myself - Poem

The Consideration of Myself

I have lived,
I have loved,
I have dreamed,
I have won, and I have lost.

As I have aged, I have become less,
Yet, at the same time, I have become more.
I discovered that I am human in all the ordinary ways —
A fleeting thought, a whisper among countless voices.

My uniqueness is an idea never forgotten,
Yet never mine to claim.
I am myself, yet I am all,
Alone, yet never separate.

I am a note in a melody,
A ripple in a great tide,
A shadow in the morning light,
Present, yet indistinct.

In my reflection, I see myself.
In my reflection, I see others.
I have lived, I have loved, I have dreamed —
And in that, I have become everything.
